Navada’s current artwork includes jewelry designs in sterling silver and Czech cut glass beads, as well as a series of figurative gestures in charcoal, pastel and watercolor. Within each form, she emphasizes the repetition of lines and shapes across each figure, to convey tension and motion. In contrast, the surface of each shape remains tranquil and smooth throughout a transition of shades and colors.
Presently Navada is working on a new series of figurative gestures entitled, “Joy in Repetition”. This new series is scheduled to be in her show ”Estrogen Patch”, for the Hygienic Art Galleries in August of 2004. She will also be in a group show in September 2004 at the Hygienic Art Galleries, exploring one of her other visions entitled, “Rice and Beads”, a series of black and white photographs.
