The Terror of One

Wind Sand and Stars

The health of art is the tangible love of our lives in a world of illusion. What is real and what is imagined is fundamentally the same in the mind's eye. My concern is with life insofar as the real and imaginary inspire us.

In our world, a dream can be real and reality can be anything but. I think it's important to know where one stands. There is a point in life where dream and reality become one. Great art can take you there, but truly exceptional work brings the whole world there with you.

I want to make great art. I have ideas how, but what I really find thrilling is the process of challenging those ideas. Can it be done in a single stroke? Does it have to be a painting? Yes and no; life is what we make of it.

Surprise yourself.
