The Garden of Hygienia was born from a vision for
a sanctuary filled with engaging and eclectic sculpture
and vibrant natural beauty in the heart of New London.
The project was spearheaded, managed and
coordinated by board member
Jonathan Duncklee
and Volunteer
Paul Coutu
of Kentford
Farm. Made possible with the help of the
UCONN Master Gardeners class and with funds from SBC and
Citizens
Bank, it is truly a
collaborative effort and a labor of love. The garden
was built by and continues to be maintained by volunteers
and is frequented by Coop residents,
visitors to The Hygienic Galleries, people working
nearby, and the residents of New London. It is
for the enjoyment of everyone.
Open to the public during gallery hours.
